I randomly sent a text to my friend, Becky, today. She's now looking for a place to live since she has recently broken up with her boyfriend with whom she shared an apartment.
I've often thrown around the idea of taking in a roommate, but I never knew anyone who would fit the "role" quite right... But Becky would be a GREAT roommate, and so I offered. I mentioned to her I'm one person, living in a 2 bedroom apartment and I would LOVE for her to come here! She said she would definitely keep it in mind. I think having a roommate would be awesome (I've never had one!), and she's the perfect girl to fill the position.
I know she's got a couple other options, but it would be SO great if she took me up on this. Here's hoping... *fingers crossed*
I hope it works out! I really do, and if it does I plan to be jealous. I have yet to have even a single good roommate experience. Don't feel sorry for me, I have some GREAT stories. Each roommate has a title instead of a name: The one whose dog peed all over everything; The one that crawled into my bed in the middle of the night!; The one that I caught stealing my underwear?!; The one that moved out in the middle of the night to get out of paying rent, and I didn't notice for more than a week; it goes on and on. :) I hope your friend turns out to be great though!
ReplyDeleteI've not had great roommate experiences (but definitely nothing as bad as Dove4848's!) but good luck to you! I stopped trying after 2 roommates, and have lived all by myself for over 2 years now. I love it. :)
